Last week the IRS published a report outlining that the number of tax-related ID Theft incidents has grown from 51k in 2008 to an alarming 248k incidents in 2010. A nearly 5 fold increase in only two years.

Child ID Theft
The TODAY show and reporter Jeff Rossen produced a great news report (see here) on child ID theft where children continue to be prime targets for ID Theft criminals.
Also, according to the March 2011 FTC Consumer Sentinel ID Theft and Fraud report (see here), 8 percent of all ID Theft victims in 2010 were children 19 years old and younger.
